Bald Eagle, Sharing the Wealth

I could call it Coot Tartare. Ugh.

Seen this week at Colusa NWR. I rarely have seen eagles there. This particular berm was littered with white feathers to the right, which indicates it is a regular feeding spot for eagles, or just this one. The other birds nearby seemed to know this.

Like in the rest of nature, the BIG Birds eat what and where they want. Nice work, Katy. I'll have to stop by on my next Sparks to SF trip. Betcha the footing is more sanitary at the NWR than the SF Sidewalks.

Thanks for looking, Craig. Yes, it is really dry there but it's a great place to see bird dramas if you hit it at a lucky time.
