Thanks Tom. This game was really something to see. One of the coaches would be yelling during the entire game. I will post more of the coaches tomorrow.

WOW. These are so good and at 8000-10000 ISO. I want to shoot a whole game at 1/500 and see what happens. I haven't shot anything for awhile. Been fighting a sinus /chest thing with I seem to get 1-2 times a year. Bad thing is it last 2-3 weeks. Wife, oldest son, two grand babies, and me have had this at same time. Enough of that. I have had computer problems also. Was having problems virus getting slow took to Best Buy Geek squad. They went through got rid of Sierra OS put Catilina OS on without asking me if I wanted that and some others. Well short story, went home to see how it would be and it just had all kinds of things wrong and was getting worse. I tried to uninstall Lightroom 6 but it did some weird things and I couldn't get it to reinstall. Took back to Best Buy and told them I wasn't happy at all that they changed my OS to Catilina without asking me and it had screwed my computer up completely. Well they kept it another 3-4 days. Picked it up (they installed Mojave OS) which I told them it was ok to do. I don't know what is going on anymore, too old and dumb to figure out. The files and folders are in weird places and not easy to find in Lightroom. I tried to upload a gallery to Max and it wouldn't take it, something about type of file or something. Don't know what I am going to do. Like I said too old and dumb. I guess I should just give up. Enough of my problems SORRY. These were really nice shots which you always get. A lot of people which they really don't know what they are talking about say it is the equipment that makes good photographs. But I will tell you that you can give a real photographer some cheaper equipment to shoot with and he/she will almost always make good photos with what they have. That is you my friend you get it. Enough of my babble. Haven't been this long winded in awhile. This sinus thing has me lost. Thanks friend and keep it up. Oh yea, your MaxPreps photos are great really enjoy looking.

Good Morning Jules,

Fantastic Shots, I like all of them very much.

Getting the Ref's, Coach's, etc. really depicts the emotions, excitement of the game, and tells an excellent story to We the viewer's.

We had a nippy evening last night for our West Central (Tampa) Florida area. Around 49 degrees with a wind chill of 40. Thus I passed on the Local High School Ladies Softball game. It was a good one. Our kids were down 5 to 0, and came back to win it 18 to 8.

Temp at 7am this morning 39...I know Spring for some folks...ha

Have a nice Weekend.

Nice shots! The first one looks like my Son-in-law having a little discussion with the Ref. !! Ha!!

Hi Jules.

Amazing as always. I especially like #4 and #10, but I really like action shots of players “mixing it up”

Recently had the chance to shoot an indoor track meet here in Vermont. Talk about being in a cave! I had to pull the autoISO cap off of 8000 and let it float up from there, even when shooting 2.8, just to get enough SS to freeze the runners! Made the middle school BB gyms look like a summer day at noon!.

Anyways, I mention that as I am impressed with your 8000-10000 shots. Hope the D7200 will match (at least as smaller magnifications), but a slightly noisy shot is better than no shot (or worse a blurry shot) at all. Will post when I return home and PP

Great work as always. Learn more from you each time you post.

Ah shucks David, you say the nicest things. Thank you for looking and yes I hope you can learn from what I shoot. Always here to answer a question to the best of my ability.
The high iso which we all run into can be a bear. Shoot tight, what you see on the back of the camera is what you get. No cropping at all if you want to make a 8 x 10.

Thanks. will post when I can

I recently (a few months ago) joined twitter to follow the local XC and T&F coaches, and that has led to some larger runner organizations and, importantly me for me, the photogs whom are shooting at the next levels up through full-on pros. Lots of shots to peruse, and I am learning a lot from looking at where they are positioning themselves relative to the events and timing. Have lots of new ideas to try in the upcoming T&F season (starting in 4 weeks - we have to wait for the snow to melt of the tracks, and the field is, shall we say, a bit mushy at the moment).

Until then, happy shooting. Seems to me baseball should be starting out there soon.
