I know we have some MaxPreps folks here.
Has anyone tried GFCrew?

Not an ad, looking for anyone with experience with the outfit.

I am one of the guys that shoots for Maxpreps. I have seen the youtube ads about GFCrew, looks interesting but at my age 74 it's a lot of work. You have to set up like a booth, contact parents, students, get permission to be on the field. I know with my MP credentials (from CBS) I can go anywhere on fields, gyms wherever to get my shots. I am welcomed with open arms. People know the quality we have to have to be a part of MP. I don't know with crew if there is a quality thing. I would keep doing research, talk to other crew shooters and see how it's working for them. I know I would be interested to know too.
Good luck

From my initial research looks like an ok side hustle. Might be a good gateway to getting Sr/Prom shots.

The quality will vary greatly as they dont vet the shooters.
They only provide a pay portal.
Hosting and delivery are up to the shooter.

You can pay $35 for a media lanyard that includes a background check, but its usefulness will vary by state and governing body.
After that you can buy a starter kit that includes a media tabard and some marketing materials.

So good and bad, the payment app is nice for organizing their cut is 10%

So if you're an average "Uncle" with a camera looking to make some side money on events you were already attending why not.

I dont see anything evil about it aside from a mild push to attend team workshops that cover marketing and some skill building $999 usd.

What could kill the brand is the lack of vetting anybody with $35 can wear their brand and represent them. Couple of bad reviews in a market can kill a reputation.
