I have created a lot of blue ray discs with photos and slideshows over the years and just decided I want to copy these disc for family members but found out my Nero software does not do that. Does anyone know of software that does. I should mention that my blue ray burner is external .
Any help would be greatly appreciated

If your BluRay drive came with reading/burning SW, which most do (was that Nero?), have you tried installing or updating that? My LG came with WinDVD, which works fine. You might go to the drive manufacturer’s site and see what they have for a SW download.

If you have a mac, copy files your the computer and burn them to a new disk. No software required.

Are you painting yourself into a corner using Blue Ray technology and or disks in general?

As long as you can buy drives, MDisks (which most BluRay drives will read & write) are the most robust media currently available. They are available in sizes up to 100 GB. My thought (although my crystal ball is cloudy) is that the pervasive use of BluRays for H.D. movies will keep the technology alive for quite awhile, but as with any digital media, you need to be prepared to move content to the next generation every 10-15 years.

I've been using DVDFab Bluray Copy for years. It's easy to use and relatively inexpensive.

Relative to what? I stopped using it as the price was constantly increasing in leaps and bounds.

You can still get Adobe Encore CS6 if you subscribe to the Adobe CC. It’s the best if you need to make slick menus and it produces discs that play in practically any player.
