After my last couple of time-consuming composites, something quick and easy - and you may decide disastrous. I was looking up the results, lens type and settings used at last years local light show, in advance of hopefully attending this year's event, and came across the chicken set. The composite is just two layers, with the face being the addition. Worth the effort or a waste of time? I'd be interested to have your thoughts.

I like it. It evokes a variety of substantive questions, as opposed to technical. The image stands on its own but provides few clues as to meaning.

I think it was well worth it, it's an interesting picture. I think the large sepia head on the left balances the bright colored, beer drinking chicken. Artistry is way down on my list of strengths, so I could and probably am wrong about the balance...

I'm not wrong about liking the image however. I know what I like.😎👍

Much as I feel about myself Bob - I’m glad you like it. I’m certainly not sure what it’s all about, but then I wasn’t before I added the face! I remember walking through a curtain into a small dark space and the chicken light box being quite stunning. I should have asked the artist what he thought it was about.

I think it is a balanced picture, as far as I can tell with abstract tendencies - which are generally not my forte as a genre, but the image attracted me.
And I like a man that knows what he likes! Many thanks for your comments BD.

When I first saw it I smiled. I admire you for your patience and it is different. Not a waste of time. At least you tried and have something to show for your efforts.

Art, unlike News, does not have to answer the five "W"s. It can simply invoke a reaction. And your work does this quite well.

As to your last question, only you can answer that. All we can add are our reactions. I find the work to be very provocative.

I think it's great! It means whatever one wants it to mean.

That’s an ideal reaction. Thanks Stephan.

Easy question to answer. Absolutely worth the time and effort. Anytime you can produce an image that someone likes yet walks away shaking her head and thinking "What was that all about?" is a winner. I don't know a better way of describing a successful abstract.

Hi Heather, I seem to have missed your response the other day, sorry for that!
This one didn’t take much patience but it was fun and fitted into the bit of time I had, which is important, at least to me. Glad I made you smile - and good to hear from you.
