Are there some NASCAR fans out there?!??!!? I'm not a huge NASCAR fan but just happened to get sucked into watching this years race. The end of the race was about as exciting as you could ever ask for. It was complete with crashes, overtime, and drama. I'm not sure if this is against the photo rules here on UHH or not (since my photos were taken from the TV) but here are a few of the exciting moments. The quality is not so great but very visual. Since I am not selling the photos or making any kind of profit, I figured it would be ok to share with my UHH friends.

With regards to the "easy way to mow the lawn" do you think the course stewards required him to fix the divets?
Not bad bunch of captures!
Great shots! I didn't get to see the first half, but saw all of these. I'm from Indiana originally, so I like the Indy 500 and NASCAR. That's the only sports I like.

Thanks for the pictures Brent, I watched the end of the race too. A very exciting finish but a horrific crash involving Ryan Newman. He hit the outer safety
barrier at approx. 190 mph then washit in the driver's door by another car doing 200 mph. He survived the crash in serios condition but was able to leave
the hospital today. The safety features built in these race cars is astounding.
Brent, I think you did good! I doubt you would have gotten these shots of you were there!

Hahahahahahaaa!!!!!! Remember lwiley, this is NOT golf! It's NASCAR! No divets needed to be repaired!
Thanks for the nice comment at the end!

I'm so glad Ryan Newman is ok and got to leave the hospital. He was going to win the race till he got bumped at 190 MPH. It's such a fine line those drivers race at where small details can win or lose the race for you. I'm glad the cars are built the way they are with the roll cages in them. When racing first started years ago many of drivers were killed in the races because the cars were very unsafe.
Glad to share the photos with you!

I agree with you 100%.......the camera coverage on TV is much better than what I could have gotten.
I'm a big NASCAR fan. I saw the wreck and it was pretty bad but because of NASCARS rules and always working to strive for better safer cars Ryan Newman was able to go home today, but he still needs our prayers to a full recovery. Nice captures from the TV

I knew there would be a big NASCAR fan out there looking at the photos. Thanks Cmbtvet. Yes, I agree and approve of the rules to make the cars safer. The fact that Ryan Newman is going home today testifies of the safety the cars have now. I can't imagine rolling and flipping at about 200 mph and being able to go home from the hospital 3 days after the crash. I'm praying for him with you! Thanks for the "nice captures from the TV" comment.
Great photos Brent, I can't believe they're this good from the TV. P.S. I had Denny Hamlin to win the race.

Thanks very much SeamusMac for the kind words about my photography from my TV. You must be a NASCAR fan to have Denny Hamlin picked out to win before it happened.

A nice series of shots considering they were taken from television. Not always easy
getting a good image from a TV screen.
I had Ryan Newman picked to win.
