Lake Morton, Lakeland, FL

There are many lakes surrounding Lakeland, but we only had time for one so we choose Lake Morton as it has many varieties of waterfowl. here are a few that you find there. I shot all the photos with my Lumix G9 with the Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Elmar 100-400mm f/4-6.3 ASPH. Power O.I.S. Lens. I just recently bought the 4/3 system so I am getting used to the focusing zones.

I haven’t had many chances to shoot that combo, but I love that lens on my G9. Amazing what you can shoot hand held.

Excellent series of beautiful ducks/turtle, Robert! I've had that same combo for over a year and don't miss my Nikon gear. Panasonic's IBIS system paired with the 100-400 lens OIS allows stunning handheld captures.

Thank you all for the comments, I was a canon shooter but sold it all, the G9 with the PL 100-400 is ever as good as my 7DMKII

If you haven’t updated the firmware in your G9 I highly recommend it. They’ve improved the autofocus for wildlife.
