I was very fortunate to be in the right place at the right time. From a photography standpoint, it was slim pickings until I looked behind me to see this Osprey with a catch heading for a nearby tree. Must say he made a most willing subject. The fish looks like a Barred sand bass. Still getting the feel of this new camera. 80/400. Best viewed downloaded. Thanks for viewing.
Hello DJD, some great shots. Would you care to comment on the focus speed of the Z7? In image #1 It looks like it is preforming well.

Looks like a fish better eaten by me than the Osprey. Nice shots.
Excellent action sequence, Don!
Nice shots, they stand out on a blue sky.

Snapping, I've been shooting with a D500 for the past few years and I find the Z7 (for wildlife) does not focus as fast for smaller, fast moving objects or objects with little contrast (compared to the D500). The Osprey wasn't moving too fast and being big and in good contrast, the Z7 picked it up real quick. I was using a single point focus with 9fps burst (f/7.1, 1/1600, ISO 250) I tried the auto-focus tracking and had some success, but again, for fast moving objects I'm not sure this would be my focusing choice. Hope I answered your question. Thanks for viewing and commenting, much appreciated.
