Flashlight for photography recommendation, please

I've seen some nice photographs of landscapes that feature a person in the image with a flashlight that shines a beam towards the sky. The beam is quite strong and prominent in the darkness and makes for an interesting shot. Anyone with experience in this area that could recommend a make and model flashlight? Thanks much for your expertise . . .

They are relatively cheap, just search for "torch searchlight" vs "flashlight". Remember in the 70's just using a spotlight on a car.

Thanks. I have since found a number of articles (including one on UHH). I ended up ordering a Coast HP17. It has 3 different power output options and the ability to focus the beam at different levels of concentration. The photographer who recommended it is a master at this sort of image, so I think I'll be happy. It was $65.
