They lost my repaired lens.

I got a e-mail from tamron saying the repair was completed. Then I got an E-mail saying it was delivered.
But not to me, but I never got. The name of the person was not me. I had to sign for it and show an ID.
I guess Fedex give anyone a package who can write a name. Now I am waiting for Fedex to look into it.
Now I have no lens.
Has anyone had this kind problem?
This happens sometimes when a driver is not familiar with the neighborhood. House numbers can be confusing. As, they are not always on the building. I had a UPS driver deliver a wrong package. I opened the door and immediately knew the package was too small. All of a sudden, before I could release my frustrations, the UPS driver came back with my correct package. He realized his mistake. It was a package that did not require a signature. FedEx IMO is not as efficient as UPS. My last order from B&H required a signature, and I signed for my package. You need to follow up with FedEx, file a claim with them, giving the track number. And give that same info to Tamron. I had someone steal a set of binoculars from my residence a long time ago, claiming it was delivered by UPS. I filed a claim. I had a new set of binoculars sent. But, I had it sent to to a relative's home. And, it was a slow process as well. Patience is something you will have to accept. Unfortunately. Good luck.

Contact Tamron. Did they ship to the proper address? It's not unusual for delivery companies to accept the signature of another person, provided that person is at the address on the package. If they delivered to the address on the package, but, the address was incorrect, then Tamron was at fault. If FedEx delivered to the wrong address AND accepted an incorrect signature then it is definitely their fault. FedEx is usually very good at keeping track of packages and shouldn't have too much trouble determining where it was delivered to. As soon as a package is delivered that info and the GPS location is transmitted from the driver's hand-held device to FedEx. I have a FedEx account and with every delivery I get an automated phone call within minutes. BTW, a FedEx acct is free, easy, and you can specify what notifications you want to get and provide delivery instructions. If you only use it once a year it is still handy to have.
I live on a street that starts with D & there are 2 other streets in our subdivision that also start with D. To add to the confusion, the 4 number address also is the same street to street. During high volume mail cycles, USPS, UPS & Fedex have all delivered incorrect articles of mine to a different street as well as others to me. Unfortunately, volume & speed take precedence to accuracy.
I’ve had an expensive order from B&H with Fed Ex delivery. The package required a signature. I found it on my front step and it was marked “customer signed”. I was in the house the entire day but the driver must have just placed it on the step and drove off. If I wasn’t at home I probably would have lost a $2700 camera.
The Fedex driver they have for my area is always messing up and delivering packages to the wrong place . He dropped off a package for me and then said I had another one . Even after I told him I should only have one package . He then left , and when I looked at the address on the box , it was for the restaurant at the end of my street . So , I took it up to them and told them Fedex delivered to the wrong address . This is just one sample , and UPS has messed up a few times too . Another example , My younger sister called me the other night and told me there was a package dropped off at her place that belongs to the lady next door to me . So I called her and told her that her package was at my sisters place which is only a few places up from hers . Good luck getting your lens back or replaced
Get yourself a home security system, be the door bell camera or a whole house system. Now, you can see who delivered what and who stole it from your front porch.
I often get packages from various delivery services, FedEx, ups, and DHL. It is worse in the holiday season.
I had this happen. It turned out they had delivered it to 301 E. Cervantes instead of 301 W. Cervantes. It was a business address, and the person recieving it didn't know it wasn't theirs. The FedEx driver figured it out.

Not enough information.
Was the address and name correct on the package?
Was it delivered to a location on your street, in your neighborhood, in your town, in your country?
Was the signature legible enough to identify a name?

I bought an iPad from B&H and they shipped it to me but UPS lost it. B&H had to send another to me. Things happen sometimes.

I live at 112 but they love to deliver to 122....😕
I was told by a friend who drove for UPS that I should always have shipments go to a COMPANY instead of to an individual. Drivers are allowed to sign the delivery ticket themselves for individuals, but not for companies. I don't know if that applies to FedEx or not, but I suspect so. I live down a long lane and the drivers would leave stuff on the ground at the end of the lane. Shipments got stolen long before I even knew they were there. And that was ages ago! Now I have an agreement with my post office to accept delivery for me (I have a box there). Since doing that I've never lost a package (at least that I know of.)

Our UPS driver leaves boxes at a point that cannot be seen from the street, then rings the doorbell. Since UPS started sending us email to warn us of upcoming packages, they have all arrived here.
