This is a Mariner's Compass wall hanging I made for a very dear friend's 91st birthday
Thanks girls. I'm very proud of my daughters quilts. I keep it on a quilt rack at the of my bed. I gues thats why it still looks nwew after 15 years.
Your compass is lovely. I know how hard it is to do that design.

Thanks so much, Walter was , from New Zealand, a member of HMS in WW2,based in Felixstowe, and after he died his daughter,after talking to me, sent the wall hanging to Felixstowe Museum, where memorabilia of the Coastal Forces are kept. I felt this was a great honour , and have seen a photo of it hanging on the wall there. So what with quilting and now photography my days are very full. Cheers from Jean in NZ
