Research: Macs Saw Almost Twice as Much Malware as Windows PCs in 2019

If you're using a Mac because 'Macs don't get viruses', think again

Earnest, Let's be clear: Macs, on the whole, are somewhat more secure than PCs. This is because of the way Mac OS is designed - it's Unix-based and more difficult to exploit than Windows. But while the design of Mac OS protects you from most malware and other threats, using a Mac will not: Protect you from human error.

Stan, I didn't write the article, Toms Hardware did, very reputable. So, my question is, if Macs are so secure, why did they get almost twice as much malware in 2019, being that they are that difficult to exploit? Human error has nothing to do with malware.

Macs being more secure is a myth.
I see more security patches on my ipad and iphone than android.
In the past, the mac had been attacked less than windows based machines because hackers would attack the platform with more users for a better hit ratio.

Now they are hitting everyone. Maybe because the Mac now uses the same x86 processors as the PC.

I've used Macs my whole life and still do. It's the best photo editing platform out there to this day. I'm 62 years old and have yet to run into anything I couldn't fix myself and generally this had nothing to do with malware or a virus. I do know that there is a target on Macs back so I have always used a Virus software but have yet to run into any virus or malware. Just saying.
