So much more than birds.........
I frequently talk about how much I enjoy Black Point Wildlife Drive but it is for more than the bird photography. There are many other creatures to see and enjoy-wild hogs, Bobcats, gators, wild flowers, butterflies and more. There are also unending scenic vistas to enjoy.
The first shot is of grasslands with a trio of Roseate Spoonbills flying in the distance. The second and third shots are earlier shots from a prettier day.

Beautiful images, Carol. I was there for a few days last year and did manage to take my lens off the birds for a while. The “log ‘gators” were extremely co-operative subjects - much more so than the blasted armadillos that for the most part just kept their snouts in the ground.
Nice variety of images Carol.
A really nice change-up, Carol.
These are beautiful shots Carol. Nice catch on the Spoonbills, and the sky and reflections in the next 2 are exceptional. The last shot of the rare painted Iroquis is like a flash from the past. I can almost hear the Whop Whop call as she comes in for a landing.
A very beautiful set, Carol and wish that I could visit at least once a month!

Thank you! I usually just post birds but that isn’t really the best part!

Thank you, Mike! There are definitely some big gators there. I haven’t actually seen Armadillo’s over there but I’m sure they’re there. I get them in my yard frequently which is not a good thing!

Thank you, Jan. That last bird was just cruising along and I couldn’t resist!
