Here is a local feed store that's been around a long time. It's like walking back in time.
Taken at night with a D850 and a Sigma 24 ART.
Download for the best viewing.
An example of another icon vanishing from us for the sake of "gentrification". Love that "home-made" loading dock.
Great shot.
Feed stores are the best, and the older the better. Unfortunately our "old" feed store (that was in its 3rd generation) closed, probably due to the big chain feed store that opened in the area. It's not nearly as much fun!
I still go to the locally owned store; Tractor Supply only when they don't have what I need at one of the local places. Never for feed.

...20 bales of bermuda...
Again - another post fostered more nostalgia, thank you. Kept several fields of coastal Bermuda going year round for grazing and one field behind the house to bale. Every time the fields were fertilized that 20 acre plot would get a dose too. Consequently the grass grew very well there and each year I'd select a bale or two to take to the county hay show. Won many blue ribbons doing that - always had a buyer waiting in the wings should any be left over after my barns were full.
Anyone up for posting about their deer hunting program now... (My place was just out of Bend Texas - went to Stephenville occasionally but more often to Lampasas.)
The detail is nice and deep
