Used to climb around these old barns when we were kids, no more! When I see a structure like this I think of how cool the wind must sound blowing through all the gaps...

Great photos! I like photographing old structures like this. One good windstorm and they are lost forever, except for our photos. I photographed an old corn crib here in suburban Connecticut. I went by the place where it once stood and it's gone. They tore it down and are putting in another nondescript strip mall. Am I anti-progress? No, but I'd rather photograph an old corn crib with character than a nondescript strip mall!

Jederick. Outstanding image. Thanks for sharing. Do you possibly give tours of old barns in Utah?

Thanks and I know that feeling as I have photographed several old structures that are no longer with us. My last experience, which I posted here on the hog, was of an old barn that finally collapsed. That field is now being taken over by housing development...oh well!!

Thanks Ken, I always appreciate your positive comments. Had a hard time getting the photo angles I wanted because of fences and not wanting to trespass. Anyhow, as can be seen, this was the sunnier afternoon side.

This, to me, is a magnificent example of Americana that soon will no longer be around to rekindle old memories for a lot of us older folks.
