This shot was taken with my Sony 70-300 G SSM lens. Very sharp and fantastic bokeh . I added some vignetting in PPing. Image was cropped to one half of original. This is my favorite Sony lens when shooting wildlife.

Excellent image. You are rightly proud of that lens. I have a cheaper version of the Minolta 75/300 and it's surprisingly good.

The G stands for Gold. Sony's best lenses are so described.

Mine too. Since I have both a FF and crop, when I go on hikes, where I'm limiting what I'm carrying, I put my 35 Zeiss on the FF for landscape, etc. and the 70-300 on the crop for wildlife, both distant and close-up. Sharper than my old Canon FD macros.
