We FINALLY have snow on the ground so I took advantage of it to get some shots of my favorite local sites.

It's -5F this AM. Had a 2 day snow, sleet freezing rain storm last week. Had read about someone freezing water in balloons and adding a little food color. Mine looked nothing like author's results but it made for a colorful glass of ice (fruit gummies?) and a chance to try a new macro lens.

Thanks - I'm in the process of doing a series documenting that place in different seasons. I still need to get the spring plowing and early growth of the corn field behind the buildings.

I love your foggy snow scene and am envious of your birds - I don't currently have a lens with enough reach to do our winter birds at the feeder and the tree outside of my bedroom window but am considering the purchase of a Tamron 100-400 in the near future.
