Stick wrap.
Some drummers like to use stick wrap for better grip or, if you’re old like me, arthritis. I bought stick wrap -$7.00 to wrap two pairs. I discovered electrical tape does the job better at a fraction of the cost Hope the tip is helpful.

from the responses in this thread, once again it shows photographers have a sense of humor. The drumstick is one of the most of critical accessories when the need to prod someone between you and a potential pulitzer.
I used to play the trombone, and wouldn't put kale in anything. Sooooo many other veggies worth exploring. Lol.
Not sure, but think the OP was referring to friction, or hockey tape. Gaffers tape in other countries. Works like a charm in certain situations.
