Then 20 minutes to Blackwater refuge.
I had an agenda. Sika deer and Delmarva fox squirrels.
Saw lots of soaring eagles, lot of Canada Geese, no sighting of fox squirrels.
But, a Sika deer. These are small.
This one maybe 30 inches. A larger one.
Not well shot, so excuse, but I got my camera in hand as she ran across the road, down a fire lane.
Made my day. 50 % success.
Osprey next. March 9 is my earliest, on Rt. 50 in QA county.
