A few shots from Feb. 04 at the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge, my first outing using a Sony RX10 IV.

I was there at first light, and the sky was grey and overcast all day.

I believe the Hawk is a Red-Shouldered, but would welcome correction.

Nice! I think you're right about the hawk. How do you like the RX10? I can't imagine dumping my Nikons but...

I have two Canon DSLR bodies and a huge assortment of lenses including a 500mm f4. They have not been out of the safe for several years now. We do a lot of international traveling, and I have been using a Canon SX60 HS bridge camera rather than having to carry all that equipment. I just stepped up to the Sony RX10, and I believe I'm going to love it. This was my first time using it, and I'm delighted so far.

Very nice! I have three Nikons but my favorite camera is my Sony RX10 IV! Light, versatile, easy to carry!

Excellent images Dick! Like you, I too have a Sony RX10 M3 and am amazed how it excel's all my expectations! Frequently take it with me on trips to wildlife refuges to supplement my Panasonic mirror-less cameras. It does surprisingly well on landscapes too.

Well you've got a lot of terrific places to use it, right at or near your back yard. We're thinking about spending a few weeks in Utah next Spring in out little travel trailer.

Thanks for the feedback.

Top bird is definitely an adult Red-shouldered hawk. Nice capture.
