These are in an area that gets a lot of reflectid light, 30 feet from the bay.
Every year about this time.
If I may ramble;
I had a house in Queenstown, MD. I 'eco raid' every spring for new bulbs.
The rural roads have escapees galore. If one takes a shovel of bulbs, replace the soil. Never take but maybe one fourth of a clump.Bring soil from home.
I stopped counting at 30. And azelias and more.
I had flowers 365 days a year, except leap year, 366.
Somewhere I have pictures, but where? Been looking five years, lost?
Been 'investigated' many, many times by various police. "Be careful, Mr Hopkins" and on their way.

The department stores are starting to sell spring clothes, that's always a good indication and the groundhog said it's going to be an early spring.

Here is a similar story, but from the other side of the fence, so to speak.

A couple of years ago we were driving on a country road downstate heading for a nature preserve, and I noticed a huge patch of spring ephemerals blooming along the road. Hundreds of Bloodroot plants in bloom, Spring beauty, Woodland phlox, several Violet species, etc., etc. The flowers ran from the road right up to a wooden fence where the right of way ended, and stretched about 100 yards along the road. The lot was vacant behind the fence, I pulled over to the side of the road and took some photographs. I could see a house a ways off, and pretty soon an old-timer emerged and slowly made his way over to where we were. We chatted for a while. He had planted all of those over the years, it turns out. Very nice.

The next day I stopped to take some more photos, and this time the wife came up from the house, angry as anything - "what are you doing here?" - and threatening to call the cops on us. I mentioned that we were on public property, and we were friendly and obviously harmless. But she was adamant and so we left.

Actually, no.
Lily of the Valley are Convallaria majalis.Related to asparagus, but poisoness, inspite of the smell.
Snowdrops, as IDed by Blenheim Oarnge in the second post, are Galanthus nivalis. Related to amaryllis.
