This is a preserved Earwig Bug sent to me by Bill (newtoyou) a while back. Staging this critter was quite a challenge for it is ever so small and the magnification needed is quite high with the bellows fully extended.
This is a focus stacked image comprised of 344 images processed into one with Zerene Stacker. The camera setup, illumination and diffusion were the same as described in other recent posts.
As always, thanks in advance to all who view and for your comments, suggestions, questions and critique.

Beautiful, sippy.
Thanks for viewing and for the reply. They always look a bit wet because I preserve them in denatured alcohol and although I try to dry them there is always enough remaining to give them the wet look.
Your shots of the "little world" are amazing. Without photos like this we couldn't conceive of the complex critters too detailed to really see with our eyes. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the inspiring words. Insects are built like nothing else and each species is specialized in some way as it evolved over eons of time.
Yet another fine stack Sippy!
