Barn - Shot in RAW and post edited with DxO PhotoLab. Had to do a small crop to reduce file size as UHH would not allow me to upload the original.

Looks good!

You might consider resizing your images to 2048-pixels rather than needing to change / re-crop your original composition for posting under the 20MB limit, as described in this post: Recommended resizing parameters for digital images

I admit that I love B&W barns. You might try the second photo in B&W. Although, it is beautiful in color!

I kind of like the 1st image better. Being cropped allows for more detail to be seen and the colors bring out the effects of weathering much better IMHO.

I'm usually a 'closer is better' kinda guy, but I like the less cropped better.

I do suggest considering a smaller aperture / more depth of field. I downloaded the cropped version, being an EOS file, and reviewed the single AF point location on the near roof. There's only a small section on the front of the barn in focus around the DOF of that AF point at f/5.6. I didn't consult a DOF calculator, but would guess f/9 would give a better sharpness over more the barn. You might clone away the wire too.

Thank you, I always appreciate tips and comments both good and bad. Still learning.

When I get a chance I will shot the barn again @ F9 as you suggest and check results.
Thought F5.6 would have been sufficient, obviously not.

I like all the versions. I would clone the wire as suggested by Paul.

Whew, glad you mentioned the softness. Every time I mention softness in an image I get accused of nitpicking .

Nice barn; nice processing. After scrolling down and seeing the second photo, I prefer it because it includes some surroundings and therefore gives a more complete photo. At any rate, they are both nice work.
