What was the cause of the warming in 1880 and before?

1880 was when organized weather assessment started. Also temperature and pressure recording technology was primitive at best. Most seaports had posts for tracking the tides. I am sure that scientists have studied soil, rock, and ice cores from which assessments could be constructed, but I am not familiar with that literature.

They all ways use 1880 as the base. It's kinda phony. The measuring devices were primative compared to modern technology. And that a fair amount of the surface of the planet was unavailable, so that any measure of average temp is suspect

Hmmmm, 1880 you say. The Fight at the OK Corral in Tombstone was in October 1881. NOW we all know what the Earps and Clantons were fighting about, G****l W*****g.

I recall reading a newspaper article of the day stating that gunshots rang out right after Wyatt shouted, Stop the madness, V**e Trump. Liberals were a violent lot even then.

Correct, but what makes you think scientists can measure global temperature completely and accurately now and make assessments that are future reliable?

Thank you. Every single day weather predictors can not tell us with 100% accuracy that it will rain or not. It seems the best they can do is, 20% chance of rain, snow, something. Yet we are supposed to accept at face value that NYC will be a foot deep in water by 2012 (or wh**ever the year was). I have read there were similar predictions for back around 1933 or thereabouts.

The Liberals have put many of their eggs in 8 year old Greta Thunberg who has no scientific training or degrees but is simply repeating the claims of those who don’t know either.

I am NOT claiming G****l W*****g isn’t happening. I see it every year. But proof of Man Made warming has yet to come forth. The earth has been warming and cooling for millions of years. Now Liberals want us to pay Trillions of dollars to somebody thinking that will stop the warming. NOT!
