I have the honor and privilege of being able to photograph these majestic animals anytime. These Boys are chosen to take the Christmas tree to the White House each year for the last 3 years.
I absolutely love those animals. They seem to be treated nicely as well.
Love the Clydes, raised and showed them for a number of years. Enjoyed going to the National sale and the annual meeting, then we got old... Misty Hollow Clydesdale's Floyd VA
Forty years ago in our little town some 30 minutes west of Fort Worth before I20 got to us, a rig that was hauling the Budweiser Clydesdales broke down.
The state troopers stopped to help out the stranded crew hauling the horses. One of the troopers knew a good friend of mine who was a horseman and had a farm just a mile or so off U.S. 80 (predecessor of I20).
We hooked up a big trailer and hauled the horses two at a time to my friend's farm where they stayed two or three days until the truck was fixed.
What great fun with had taking care of those big guys for a couple of days. Mr Busch would call every few
hours for a progress report on the truck repair and to check on his horses.
What a great time that was.
This week the Budweister hitch is performing at the rodeo in Fort Worth at the all new Dickie's Arena, some 300 yards away from the old Will Rogers Coliseum that was a WPA project.
Some things change, but not those wonderful Clydesdale horsess.
Thanks for you nice photo that joggged one of my favorite memories.
Beautiful creatures. Great pictures
They are indeed beauties.
They came to Turf Paradise during the racing season one year and were stabled not far from us. We got to "help" with the bathing and walking of them. Super cool! They were so gentle. But don't let one step on you!
Clydesdales are such special beautiful horses with this incredible white socks. Thank You for posting those.

Very good set, Jeff.
Agree, but I have 1 question - where is the beer wagon?
