The Chiefs aren't my team but I did root for them. I thought SF played an great game; their defense is top notch. I truly thought they were going to win until the 2nd half when the Chiefs got it together and got it done for the win. Garropolo is a very good QB but Mahomes is awesome and I agree when it was said that the Chiefs have heart. That's why I rooted for them.

There will always be a loser and let's give credit where credit is due. Mistakes were made on both sides and both sides had to do what they could to overcome. SF played a darn good game and they don't have anything to be ashamed of. Disappointed....sure....who wouldn't be. It was clear to me they were Super Bowl bound when they ran all over my Green Bay Packers. I usually don't watch the Super Bowl if the Packers aren't playing but I knew tonight's game would be worth watching.

So I say....Congratulations SF for giving all the fans a game worth watching.

Great Game to Watch, even though I am a 69 year old, born and raised, "Pittsburgh Steelers" fan. Yes every team has bad years and the Steeler's are presently going thru a rough time, But with that Historical Organization and Record, hopefully they will return to a SuperBowl very soon. I presently live in Michigan and see NO real hope of the Detroit Lions ever reaching the SB any time soon, poor organization, Owner just wanted to make $$$, no real Pride in their team, changing Coaches constantly, but as long as Fans fill the Stadium, and make the owners Rich, do they really care?? And they are the only NFL team that holds a "0 wins, in 18 games. 🤔🙄😳

I live about 50 miles north of Philly and like many other PA fans was glad to see Andy get his SB win! To me what lost the game for SF was their abandonment of the run game. They made really good runs on their sweeps to the left side but about half-way through the 3rd quarter they were stopped after only a 3 yard gain with that play. Then they just stopped using that play despite the fact it had done so well. At that point they began passing much more -- why? Why would they base a shift in strategy because of one failed play?

Choked? Unlike other years, I thought this Super Bowl was a good game between two evenly matched teams. I sorta wanted the 49ers to win because Garappolo was a former Patriot but the Chiefs clearly had the wherewithal to make a great comeback and ya gotta love Mahomes who's going to have a great career. Then again so will Garappolo. The Patriots (in the second half of the season) were clearly not a Super Bowl team and one has to wonder why Belichick let Garappolo go (I know; it was the money) at a time when the Pats' 42-year old quarterback provides only occasional moments of his former greatness and doesn't have many games left in him...IMHO.

Choked, perhaps, but they really did get outplayed by KC (in the second half)and their simply outstanding young quarterback. It seemed that KC were quite “comfortable” with being behind double digits... they did not falter, they simply persevered. Now, that’s an admirable quality...KC earned the win in a fashion that could teach our kids a lot about life.

Having said this, the half-time show taught our youth something different altogether... that it is OK to exploit women. Shame on Pepsi & the NFL!

Cheers!

I agree, the half-time show was disgusting!! I had to quit watching it, thought of all the young kids watching it, and the message they were receiving! How did they allow an X rated half-time show on TV!! Maybe I am old school, I hate hearing the F word, which seems to be an everyday word for the younger generation, especially from the girls.

I agree 100% and I was wondering if this is a generational thing. In "my day" halftime would offer a mini concert by the likes of the the Stones, U2 or Coldplay who rocked the stadium with great music. Now, halftime is a "Vegas show" where music seems a minor portion of it. Okay, maybe today's audience wants light shows, frantic synchronized dancing and skimpy costumes but as Carol notes, lewd pelvic thrusts and twerks don't set a very good example for kids to follow...or maybe I'm just being prudish.

No you are Not Prudish, each generation seems to find a way to "Over do something", or go to "Extremes", next they will be having Sex at the Superbowl, they came pretty close at #54, what will happen at #55! ☹️😳🤔🙄😱😣 Back in the 60's it was Long Hair, drugs, Drinking, etc.

Worst calls in the game?

Calling Kittle at the end of the first half for interference
Not calling interference in the end zone at the end of the game
Not calling time out near the end of the first half

Otherwise, a very good game and the better overall team won.

Re: Garapollo
Story I read : Brady went over Belichec to owners and urged them to trade Garapollo. Bellichec was PO'D when he heard about this. Bellichec was planing Garapollo to replace Brady!!

Tell me I'm wrong if you know better!!

Story I heard was that Garoppolo was about to become a free agent and demanded a $28 million contract to stay with the Pats. Belichick wouldn't pay that much so Garappolo walked. No idea how much the 49ers are paying him and no idea if this is the whole story.

Anyone else know?
