This is funny. If you record the game on your Tivo, when it's over, you can skip the game segments and watch only commercials. I might try that.

The commercials are usually good.
One year (years ago) was fantastic for the commercials.

Can I just forget the game is on and do something else. I lost what little interest I had when the whole kneeling thing became a thing. They should have drafted the players into the army and penalized the owners the players salary time two.

Didn't catch that one, which I usually use for the same reason... 
I only watched during super bowl parties a friend had when we lived in Florida.
Did that for many years. Half of the time I didn't know who was playing until I got to the party.
I watched for the commercials, ate food, and the camaraderie.
