These Hawks Are Serious!

All new from Monday of this week. The Sacramento NWR is brimming with hawks right now. We saw at least 7 eagles but none of them were close enough to photograph. However, the hawks below were very cooperative.

Wow, the two shots of them looking at you are outstanding. Those eyes really tell the story, Katy.

Very nice set. The Peregrine is the jewel but the Red-tailed Hawk is the amazing catch. They almost always so skittish that it takes big glass to get shots like that.

I've never seen a hawk smile and I'm willing to bet they have no sense of humor. A great collection of raptor images. vz

Good to hear from you, imagemeister. Peregrines are really interesting birds. The Nova special on them was amazing.
