I have a young acquaintance who showed up in court as a character witness for a friend while carrying a pocketful of marijuana. They were both busted.

He was making a political statement in a US courtroom, he is trying to legalize marijuana in his home state. No, I do not believe his actions were appropriate, but he sure got the free publicity he was after didn't he.
