I don't really know what I'm doing when it comes to B&W but this is my attempt. Any suggestions are welcome.

I don't think you can go wrong, but I prefer color.

Perfect Color too.
But I want to do some B&W Photography, especially since I am Color defienct in Red, Green, & Brown, to some degree. I question my ability to properly edit any RAW images I might create with my Nikon DSLR camera.

I'm a B&W bigot. I suggest a little more contrast to show the details on the front entrance and triangle above. I usually start in Lighroom and finish in Nik Silver Effects.

If the color photo wasn't good, even if is is a good conversion candidate, it usually won't convert well. Contrast and preserved highlights and shadow detail is the key. There's plenty of tutorial help on line.

I’d prefer the black and white if it had some more contrast to it. It needs to pop more.
