Attached are scans of old photos. The originals are quite small - most are about 2 x3 in or so.
The photos were likely made from about 1895 - 1918. Most of the photos were made in Baden-Wurtemburg
or Hesse in Germany. ( These are the present day German States) The young men were friends or relatives of my grandmother.

Perhaps, there are some military experts here. Can anyone comment on the uniforms. Service? Regiment?

Those are some great looking photos of military uniforms, pre-1918. I saw a photograph of the German Kaiser in his uniform during the WW1 era. It was definitely eye catching. Fit, for a ruler of a country.

Your scans came out perfect and you saved them for all to enjoy. They are in remarkable condition , given their age and were well-taken-care-of to have made it this far into present-day existence.

Indeed the first, fourth and the fellow on the left of the 5th photo are the same person. I noticed on the 4th photo the fellow appears to be wearing spurs. This would indicate calvary (Hussars)

The soldier from the 1st and 4th photos is from the 25th Dragoons which was garrisoned in Ludwigsberg in Wurtemberg (Now Baden-Wurtemberg). These photos were taken in Ludwigsberg. Thanks Kaskazi.
