I have been practicing shooting with some of my nikon lenses mounted on and Fotodiox adapter I purchased with my Lumix G7. I'm getting pretty good results with a Tamron 17-50, 2.8.
In very general terms, are purpose-built manual lenses such as the 7 Artisans series superior to adapted lenses? I'm not asking about comparing lens specs, I'm wondering if these lenses report anything to the body that improves any aspect of making a manual shot.
Typically, lenses built for AF have a shorter 'throw', so lenses built for manual focus tend to work better manually than lenses built for auto focus.
