This is my first attempt at using a heavy morning fog as a subject. This was very unusual for our area in the middle of Texas. I would appreciate your evaluations of this shot.

I think that you did as well as you could with the available conditions.

I like it as well. Often, it's hard to discern fog shots from photo haze that needs removed with a haze filter. I never noticed much photo haze until my daughter started sending me cell phone pics of my granddaughter.
Anyhow, this is nice, and no question it's fog. If it were my photo I would have to try putting a haze filter and masking it to effect just the tree trunks a bit.

Not saying it would make it better, but it would be fun to do.

Very good photograph in my opinion. It obviously is fog and even more obvious in download. Well done, Streets.

I would crop tree trunk on left side of photo, thereby accenting fog and the contrast with trunk on right. This seems a better composition to me and doesn’t distract from stronger portion of photo. The branches seem fine; it is just the trunk that, to me, distracts.

IMHO

The tree branches look very attractive against the fog.

Nice shot. If you get another chance sometime, you may want to step back some to include the tree on the left, thereby using both trees as a frame. Were there any other posisions you could have moved to for a different perspective?

I had numerous aspects for imaging available. Our neighborhood was carved out of an Oak forest with wide streets and plots of 0.3 to 0.4 acres. I was standing at my garage entrance when I took the shot.

I like the way the trees disappear as they get further away.
