There is a web site,
https://waynepinkstonphoto.com/ , that seems to have some good information about shooting and processing the Milky Way. Has anybody ever purchased his program? I took a class in Oak Creek, Arizona a few months ago, but my notes suck.
Wayne is an excellent photographer and group leader. I've been on two sessions with him - a 4 nighter in NM and an overnight in Utah. ON both of the trips (as he does for each of his trips) he did extensive scouting and planning for each location. He will not only teach camera technique, but light placement, LLL know how, MW movement, essentials to capturing MW and foreground and how to do post to eliminate noise and have sharp objects. Limits his groups to reasonable sizes. And best of all you will most likely have Eric Gail as an assistant instructor. Aside from him being a great guy to hang with , he is an excellent photographer in is own right, but he is one of if not THE most knowledgeable PS and LR experts in the country (maybe world). And he loves to share his extensive knowledge with all who will listen.
If you can grab a spot on one of his seminars - DO IT NOW - before its gone.
No - I don't get a toaster oven for referrals - I just really love Wayne and Eric. If you get to meet them - you will also. If you contact him be sure to say I highly recommended him (so I get my toaster over - just kidding).
Wayne is an excellent photographer, great blog, thanks for sharing, Dick.
