I do not do many conversions to B&W, but I have seen some great B&W photos here. So, thoughts and suggestions are welcome. Thanks for looking.

Apart from saying this is way different than what you typically post, esteemed Cotondog, I have neither thoughts nor suggestions that go beyond 'more like this, please.'

Yes, it sure is way different than what I typically shoot and post. I need to expand my hobby, and doing something different (for me) becomes a part of that. However, I'm also getting old, so I just may revert back to what I know best. LOL. Thank you kindly for your very nice comment, Cany. Much appreciated.

very pretty - the lines on the road gave me a sense of motion. I found the streetlight at the top of the frame to be a bit distracting, as compared to the lights further back in the frame that draw the eye in, along with the roadway. I like the first, uncropped version better - the shadows are a bit darker and the roadway feels more dramatic. I think the B&W effect you used is really artistic - it has a silvered quality that's very rich. A great way to elevate the "ordinary" things we see all the time.

Apart from whatever the clock or the calendar says, nobody is 'getting old.' We're only becoming a tiny bit more mature and probably a little more real. While I expect (or hope?) to see plenty more of what you consider some reversion back to 'what you know best,' you've let a cat out of the bag that isn't gonna take kindly to be being put back into said bag.

Thanks a bunch, Cany. I'm going to keep that advise in mind as I continue to play.

Good work! You have to get out of your comfort zone to make progress. This is a great step.
