Bought Canon 80D

Picked up a 2 year old Canon 80D with original box and accessories in mint condition for $600 and a mint condition Canon 24mm 2.8 STM lens for an additional $60. Camera has just under 8000 shots. Everything works perfectly and I finally ditched the compact flash memory which was getting hard to find and pricey. Love the touch screen and the photo quality is fantastic. While this is not my first DSLR, it is my first Canon and I could not be happier.

Good choice, the 80D is a really nice, extremely functional DSLR. I bought my first 80D the day they hit the streets. Still use it often.

Congrats on the purchase. The 24mm prime is a fantastic lens even at full price and stayed on my camera for the better part of a year unless I had a very specific need to change.

I have mine a bit over a year. Went from the 40D to this one. Added some decent Canon lenses, 85 mm 1.8, an 18-135 and a 70-300. It's a great camera especially with the Canon glass.

Great choice. I also have an 80D, and after reading the manual and going to 3 classes I'm still learning about all its features. I bought a Sigma 18-300 lens, it almost always stays on the body. I also have a T5i, a Super Sure Shot 50, A1,AE1, and a KONICA T3. As well as 8 other lenses. Was going to trade them in, but couldn't get hardly anything for them. Enjoy the DSLR.

Glad you posted this. Currently using a Rebel T5. I've been wanting an 80D for quite some time but still have not pulled the trigger. Canon has refurbs for $799 and Roberts has several nice used for $689. Time to take the plunge, big time GAS. Another UHH poster kindly (and wisely) advised me to work on technique and composition as well as post processing tools. This was most helpful once I actually applied the suggestions. Now it's time for the camera too.

Had my Canon 80D for 2 weeks now and it is a fantastic camera. I sold the Canon 24mm 2.8 STM lens and picked up a used but mint Canon 60mm 2.8 Macro Ultrasonic lens. The 24mm was nice but a little too wide for my liking. The camera low light is amazing, I keep the camera on auto iso. The attached photo of my Lab was taken in my living room with no flash and camera chose 10,000 iso. Very little noise. The photo is as the camera shot it, RAW with no corrections, only rendered to JPG.
