People in street scenes

When posting street scene images of people, I tend to use B&W so the focus is on the persons expression and mannerisms instead of being distracted by the color of a pretty jacket, etc. Comments please.

I don't shoot street, but I agree with your premise and have seen many compelling results.

When I shoot street scenes, I prefer shooting after dark so the people disappear especially with a longer exposure. Converting those images to monochrome works for me. I don't mind silhouettes in my shots.
