Just to keep my Photoshop skills in good shape I often will be Messing around with photos and type. I think it's the graphic designer trying to get out of my photographic head!
This will look best in download mode.

I like the work you did, but starting at the right side does anyone else see a terrier type dog jumping and blowing smoke at the moon . . . . . . . . . or have I been up way to long watching coverage of the attempted impeachment? What a circus.

Anyone can do it but few can and even fewer who can actually do.

There is a lot of money to be made having fun like this Cigar Box Lid. When I was a child Cigar Boxes were a prized possession for little toys.

Thank you, BrentHarder, Your Lid reminded me of how I loved the Edie Adams Erney Kovacs show in the 1960s. The show was a very offbeat comedy show... and Lovely Edie with a Muriel Cigar in her lovely mouth was quite an ad.

The concept is beautiful. Can you give a brief overview of how to do the lettering, Brent, or direct us to a good video tutorial? Many thanks.

Hahahahahahaaa........YES! Now that you pointed it out, I see it too! Good catch!
As far as the circus goes........OMG.......don't get me started. This isn't the appropriate place to voice our feelings about all that CRAP!

Thanks dpullum for your comments and link too! We won't be seeing ads like that on TV anymore!

Linda, thanks for the nice compliment. Unfortunately I can't give you a BRIEF overview of how I did the lettering since it took me over an hour to do what you are looking at. I will say it's all done in Photoshop with many layers. Does that help much? Probably not. I have not looked online for a video since I am kind of self taught at this but most likely there are some YouTube videos out there somewhere!

Thanks Brent. Knowing it was all done in PS is good.

Now that I know you've been in graphic design over 40 years it all make sense. This picture would not be done with an untrained eye or normal patience. I would expect this to come right out of a high end ad agency with high profile clients willing to pay for this quality work. Excellent workmanship.👏

I did a little research for you Linda.......here are 3 websites that could work for you and the other UHH members reading this. I think the third one is the most creative!

Thanks so much Jim. One of the jobs I worked at was Mega Brands and they make building blocks like Lego. They also had other sub companies all kind of toy related and I did a lot of package designs for the toys. The Photoshop skills are essential for the modern package designs. Mega Brands has been bought out by Mattel (the company most famous for Barbie dolls). It was my taste of corporate America and how little companies get eaten up by the bigger ones. An eye opener for sure! Thanks for liking the quality of my workmanship Jim.
