Had to have leg amputated below knee because of diabetes after Christmas. Going to be sitting in wheelchair shooting grandkids til I get artificial leg.
...sounds like you are handling it in stride...? Good luck with your recovery and with rehab...

Speedy recovery and best wishes.
Speedy recovery and the best of wishes. Good luck with rehab. I have limited use of my legs and found photography to be "my legs". It slows me down but it doesn't stop me.
Good luck and remember, when the going gets tough, the tough get going.
Hope you're not going too stir crazy and are back shooting soon!
I'm sure it is tough to lose a limb, but you seem to have a great attitude about it. Good luck with your recovery.

Sorry to hear about your leg. My wife was in an automobile accident about 2 and a half years ago. It totally destroyed her right ankle and her foot is attached to her leg with titanium rods. The good thing is, she still has her foot. Due to complications from the accident, she recently had her right knee replaced. That was the 10th surgery since her car was hit. She has spent a lot of time in a wheel chair but now is getting by quite well with a walker. In a few months she should be able to walk without the walker.
By the way, I have a cousin who was in a car crash and he has an artificial leg below the knee. He gets around without a problem; even rides a motorcycle.

sorry to hear this. I am diabetic too.
I'm diabetic also. I'll pray for your speedy recovery.
Hope all goes well for you Sir, hang in there.
My deepest sympathies for the loss of your limb. Diabetes is such a distructive disease. My mother lost a few toes and the disease caused her kidneys not to function. The last few years of her life she was on dialysis. Stick with the rehab - it will help.
Good luck with your recovery.
Don't be stumped! Keep on trucking!!!! I know several people (golfers still) who have had the same amputation and are doing fine! Keep at the rehab and you'll be fine. God Bless.

For the grandkids benefit, I hope you’re using a camera and not a gun.
