Ok Nikon took some market share back from Sony. Good for Nikon. Consumers benefit from having more choices. Viva la competition.
The more significant problem for everybody is the market for high performance cameras is still shrinking.
In fact there are some legitimate business questions to be asked about why Sony put so much money into a shrinking market in the first place. People were not rushing to get on board the Titanic when it was sinking.

Who is suppling the internal CMOS Sensors for the Nikon and Canon cameras SONY!!! The small 1 inch square CMOS Sensor is made by SONY and is built in every Nikon and Canon camera made. This is why Nikon and Canon is getting ahead of Sony thanks to Sony products installed in there equipment!

Is that really the reason? Who knew it was that simple? So all Sony has to do is quit selling them sensors and Sony will become the market leader?
