A sincere thank you to all the Hogs that posted about shoulder replacement surgery. I finally bit the bullet after putting it off for years and had total replacement of right shoulder (dominant arm) on Thurs. So many of the comments about the recovery period and the ease of the surgery were key in my decision.
Surgery Thurs morning. Couldn't pee so off to the ER on THurs night for cath. Cath was miserable but shoulder is painless after block wore off. Sat at PT got my arm up to over 95 degrees. Only painful area is the incision. Cath out this evening and feel so much better. Slight UTI but easy to deal with.
I just can't believe after all they did there is literally no pain in the joint. Very consistent with prior comments.
Again - thank you all for your prior posts on this topic.
Wishing you the very best in your recovery. Our prayers are with you.
Again wishing you all the best. Sure the physical therapist will advise on returning to photography.
Hope for you all the best in recovery. My prayers are with you.

Having gone through several joint replacement procedures, PT is the single most important thing to getting back to normal. Good luck, wishing you the best

I wish a speedy recovery for you. May the therapy during the stretching exercises be as painless as possible.
Having had knee surgery 3 months ago, I have an idea of what that entails.
