While working in LR on the ~10K pix and movie clips from our voyage to Antarctica, i noticed a strange white appendage with "fingers" behind the mouth and under the eye patch of this Type B1 "Pack Ice" Orca. Any idea what it is? Also attached is a stock photo showing all of the Southern Orca Types.
It sure looks like an Orca.

You are seeing the transition between the white patch under the jaw and the rest of the belly.
Looks like just part of the whale's belly distorted by the water.
You are seeing (or not seeing) it’s right arm(fluke) on edge and the pleated skin of its axilla/ armpit is
exposed. That skin stretches out a bit as the fluke is raised more, and folds more as the fluke is lowered.
And yes, it is in the extension of the white mandibular skin as it blends into the continuum of white ventral skin of the chest and belly.

Looks like an Orca with torpedo!
The orcas, or killer whales, are king of the sea, even taking out the great white shark. They are also in Puget Sound which extends to Seattle.
Yup, recognized the markings
