Even the dog house has been abandoned.

Canon 6D; 24-105 f/4 IS/USM @24mm.

Fun to explore the details; there's a lawn mower in front of the forlorn dog house I think you did a super job with composition and exposure. A fascinating photo op, including the broken tree.

Thanks you, Linda. I guess the lawn mower and old dog house are signs of life that occurred at that old farm sometime in the past.
This was a nice place to take a couple of photos. I even tried to do another texture, but it never turned out so well. Then I tried a b&w. I left that by the wayside as well. LOL.

You found an interesting subject and present it well. The cloudy sky really adds to the hopelessness of the image. Somehow I was really impacted by the icicles on the dog house. I can imagine an old, mixed breed dog laying in the old dog house wondering "I wonder it they are coming home again." If a photograph is supposed to tell a story you have written a tome.
