Upper right corner shows a bit of the ice that I found this morning (28 degrees) at the shallow man-made pond where this swan and mate reside.

Panasonic Lumix G7 with 14-140 mm lens. 1/650 sec, f/6.3, ISO 800. Edits include softening and glow. (btw, the time stamp is an hour fast; I re-set after daylight savings time ended...I thought!)

Feedback welcomed. Thanks for viewing!

Alway wonder how they can take the Hot and the Cold temps. I give you credit for going out and taking the picture in this freezing weather. Be carful and stay warm Linda.

Thanks, Jim, I had my glove-mittens on, and the car was just a few feet away

Nice composition, Linda. All the round curves in the water complement the swan well.

This is beautiful, Linda. The swirls in the water and their colour are very striking. My hat is off to you for getting out in the cold to capture this! I can't imagine doing anything when it's that cold.

Merry, John and Kathy - thank you so much for your lovely comments.

Kathy, I was only "out" for 1/2 hour. The car was very close, and I had my glove-mittens where I could cover my frozen fingers for a few moments at a time. I don't do cold well (anymore), but I also don't do hot, so spring and fall have become my favorite seasons by far
