You might want to check their modifiers. I have a Buff 10x36 strip box and it has a made in China label on it. Also if you see the new Battery Powered Strobe ($895.95), it has a label on the bottom that says Made In China.

I have that same strip soft box. I got the grid for it also. It's great to use as a fill light, hair light. I've also used it to feather light across a backdrop.

I use a pair of the 10x36" stripboxes frequently to light my white seamless paper background. If I had the room, I'd use a pair of umbrellas. I have 2 51-inch Parabolic Umbrella's from Buff that have never had a light attached.

I also have Paul C. Buff's model 7UR umbrella reflector. It spreads out the light 180 degrees to better fill umbrellas with light.

I have a pair of those just for that purpose. One of them fills my 64" brolley nicely. One of the less expensive items from Buff but very useful.
