Just a Pretty Little Bridge

I do not pretend that these are great photos. They are just a record that I saw this little bridge. With all the clutter surrounding the bridge there was little I could figure out to make this look exciting or dramatic. The photos will not make a calendar but for me they record something I think is beautiful. This little bride was built 60 years ago as a memorial to the person who donated the land for a little mountain park in North Carolina. I love the moss that has grown over the old stone. I think it is a great memorial tribute to a grand lady.

The bridge was inviting and I just wanted to sit a while and enjoy the old stone. We don't make bridges like this anymore. Enjoy the downloads and thanks for looking.

Very pretty bridge and nice photos! I like the second one in particular, but all are very nice. Makes you want to go take a walk over that bridge. Thanks for sharing!

They are gorgeous photographs and a reminder that taking a rest in such a beautiful location is always a good thing.

Glad you appreciated and wanted to share this stone/organic monument. Not every photo is a competition prize winner. But it doesn't make them any less valuable or less important. Thanks for the posts.

That is a nice set of images, Larry. I like the view of the second one best.

In which NC mountain park is this bridge located? Stone works in those shady and cool environments take on the look of a centuries old structure pretty quickly.
