I saw a posting yesterday from another UHH member about crappy Michigan weather. We conversed a little as I stated I love this weather for its photography potential. Here are a few photos to show why I feel this way, albeit rather redundant in subject matter.
Winter shooting has it's own challenges but I like it. It doesn't have the bright, pretty colors like Spring and Fall. But any color you find on a cold winter's day is magnified and can make for spectacular photos, as you have proven in yours. Very nice! Now put on your parka and get back out there! :)
Great set. I agree, “crappy weather” by the seaside always offers more photo opportunities. Thanks for sharing them.

"Don't know why there's no sun up in the sky." Actually, Sue, if I had such a photogenic lighthouse "in my back yard", I would probably not like fair weather so much, either. Each image of this little gem that you post seems better than the one before.
Hi,
Great set. Photo opps. occur almost everywhere, if you are genuinely looking for them. Like anything else, it takes work to get results. Glad you invested in creating these photos.
I remember trudging through knee deep snow, looking for photo opportunities. You persevered.

Nice set, Sue. I like them all, and I like Michigan when ever I have been there and that has been all four seasons.
Crappy weather is relative.
To me, it's weather I don't care to be out in.
Makes great photos though!

Sue,
It's not "crappy" where you are.
Your photos are gorgeous!
I live in a 2.2 square mile city in suburban sprawl that's far away from beautiful scenery like yours.
I am jealous, but in a good way.
I really enjoyed your big lake photos!
Have a great day,

You made the most of that weather, lovely and dramatic scenes.
Some really nice shots, a little weather goes a long way to adding drama to a photograph. When I would go outdoors before I got into digital photography, I looked forward to bright clear days, now when I want to get my photography fix in or shoot an outdoor event, a clear sky is the last thing I hope for.
Very nice set. Crappy weather often enhances an image.
