I haven't never shot wrestling. Looks to me like a longer lens is necessary.
Yes, I took the 100mm , but was thinking the same. Taking the 200mm next time. Shoot and learn!
I don't like cropping.

200 with a crop camera would be perfect.
Longer lens was my first thought as well.
You don’t mention settings, and I cannot download on this device. So, with noted lack of info, suggestions follow (and therefore may not be worth much). Reduce DoF with wider A if you can (at that distance, you should be able to keep the wrestlers within DoF. If you can, let in about 1.5more stops of light on A and up SS by 1 stop (look every so slightly blurry to me, at least on this screen and these glasses LOL). Overall I think you can be brighter by about 1/2 stop
Very hard to shoot these gyms - very dark. You did well for a first effort. Keep shooting

Hi david and thanks. These were shot with Tokina 100mm Prime 2.8. Settings= ss1/800 ---ISO 8000--- 3.2------I should have shot at 2.8 Right? more light
Hi. I think so, but I don’t know your lens, or the longer lens you might use. Given your distance, even the longer lens should give you sufficient DoF, but you should check on the calculators. You are already SS 1/800 and still at ISO 8000, so I am likely seeing grain, not blur. If your lens looks good at 2.8 and DoF is sufficient, then yes, SS 1/800, 2.8, and ISO 8000 MIGHT be better.
That said, your settings tell me it was damn dark in that gym, so good job getting anything regardless.
David
Thanks. I am shooting on side line on floor. Not in bleachers. Hope 2oomm 2.8 won't be too long shooting from there. BB IS RIGHT AFTER Wesrling so that means taking 2 lenses. May be able to cut iso down
