This is a picture of our families land. We did own 400 acres in Little Hocking. Through my wife’s inheritance. After my mother in law passed away due to cystic fibrosis we ended up selling 200 acres a few years ago. Still have a few 100 left. When we lived on the farm I developed my passion for photography.

Nice. Reminds me of my days at Ohio U. as a photo major. I spent many days wondering over the Hocking Hills shooting photos.

Cool. Our land is actually off the historic highway 555.

Also my mother went to Ohio University. I was conceived there. My dad played division one ball for Eastern Illinois and my cousin on my dads side was my mothers roommate. She introduced my mom and dad. He visited for a weekend and nine months later Cedric was born. Lol

Very good Ced. I love that forest one. The B&W works real good there.

BTW..... You are blessed.

One of my favorite photos is of a Mail Pouch Barn taken from that area (1975). The last time I was back to OU (2007) , I drove around looking for that barn. Nothing was left but a pile of rubble. It had been eaten up by termites and fallen down. Thanks again for the trip down memory lane.

I love farmsteadp pics. Years ago I had a small farm, about 20 acres. The original part of the house was built in 1860. The area it's in has a history. It was a major route on the underground railroad. Once, I was replacing a tread on the stairway and, I found a secret room underneath them
It took me awhile to figure how people got in it. It was very ingeniously done.

Very cool . I’ve heard a lot about those secret rooms. Those had to be some brave people back in those days. 😊

Number 2 (IMHO) is personal, you know... family.
