These villages fascinate me. Wish I could've watched the building of them. How often do they have to paint them to keep them looking so clean? Oh yes, nice shot!

PS. Knew a man with the last name of Dent. Wonder if his ancestors came from there.

Thanks, Eleanor, as the village is in a very remote area with minimal pollution and almost traffic-free I would guess the houses stay pretty clean. The first record of the village dates back to 1200. I would guess that the buildings seen here are two to three hundred years old.

It would be a longshot
The surname Hodgson is very common in the immediate area and is could indicate settlement by the Norse (Vikings) in the 10th century.

Lot's of interesting lines and angles, actually throughout the photo. I doubt that there would be many skateboarders in Dent!!!
